    A new skill I acquired from working on the website is how to make a website. Making the actual website was difficult for me and I am still not sure if I completed it correctly. I disliked how the site was set up to actually create the website. In my future career, I will definitely use separate pages to make my website, as well as, adding links to other resources to the other students. https://education.weebly.com/weebly/main.php#/     

    In working with Diigo, I have learned how to highlight parts of a web page and attach notes to it. This application can be useful in my classroom for when I am trying to teach a lesson and want to show my kids something. It will be easier to find a highlighted part of a web page, rather than looking through the whole thing. With team members, I can send them specific parts of a web page I find interesting. In my individual personal efforts, it will be helpful so I can easily find what websites I am using to do my work.

    Technology in the classroom has developed a lot over the years. I have seen it first hand just by being a student. Teachers have gone from chalkboards, to overheads, to giant screens, and laptops. Everytime a new piece of technology came out, I remember watching my teachers try to figure it out. I think it is very important that teachers are properly taught how to use these new devices.       In my early experiences using Twitter, I honestly did not know how to work it very well. It took some time to figure out, but once I did, I loved it. I mainly interact with my friends and accounts I find funny. I find the funny pages beneficial to me because they always brighten my day. I also love following inspirational quote pages. These are beneficial to me because they tell me what I need to hear and also brighten my day. Blog Journal 2

    In my past educational experiences, I have used Microsoft Word many times. I learned how to use it in middle school in our computer lab, and that is where we would go to write our papers and print them. In highschool I almost always used MS Word, as well as, in college MS Word is primarily all I use. I have also used Google Docs but I feel more comfortable using MS Word. I do prefer how Google Docs lets you share the same document; however, I have used MS Word more and believe it is easier to save and transfer files on.     The ISTE Standard for Educators that is most meaningful to me is "Learner." I believe teachers should learn from their students, as well as, learning new technology and ways of teaching. The "Learner" Standard states how teachers should stay current with research, and I believe this is so important because new ways of teaching are always being created.      Hi, my name is Casey Daigle and I am from Fort Pierce, FL. I am a sophomore at FSU and I absolutely love it. My major is English Education. I am in the sorority Alpha Phi and I like to participate in events such as Heart Week and Dance Marathon.
