    The grade level I chose is grades 6-8. The standard I chose is LAFS.68.RH.3.7. This standard is about integrating visual information into print and digital texts. I feel that with my current skill set, I would be prepared to implement this standard to an extent. I still believe I would need more training to be fully prepared on this however.

    In CPALMS I chose 7th grade science. One resource I found called "Different Scientists." This allows students to keep up with scientists from all around the world. I would use this resource in my class because I feel it would help keep students up to date on what is going on in the science world.

    It is important to be a proficient Internet searcher as a teacher so you can provide the most accurate information for students. Of the Internet searching skills that were introduced this week the one I would probably most moving forward is Google's "advanced search" feature. I would use this feature the most because it is the most specific. I also feel like it would give the most accurate information.

      In my early experiences using Twitter, I honestly did not know how to work it very well. It took some time to figure out, but once I did, I loved it. I mainly interact with my friends and accounts I find funny. I find the funny pages beneficial to me because they always brighten my day. I also love following inspirational quote pages. These are beneficial to me because they tell me what I need to hear and also brighten my day. Twitter might be helpful in my future career because I could interact with other teachers from all over the country, share ideas, and get advice from them.     The digital divide highly affects student success in schools. Students who grew up around technology are at an advantage compared to students who did not grow up around technology. Some causes of the digital divide are income gaps. Blog Journal 2

    In my past educational experiences, I have used Microsoft Word many times. I learned how to use it in middle school in our computer lab, and that is where we would go to write our papers and print them. In highschool I almost always used MS Word, as well as, in college MS Word is primarily all I use. I have also used Google Docs but I feel more comfortable using MS Word. I do prefer how Google Docs lets you share the same document; however, I have used MS Word more and believe it is easier to save and transfer files on.     The ISTE Standard for Educators that is most meaningful to me is "Learner." I believe teachers should learn from their students, as well as, learning new technology and ways of teaching. The "Learner" Standard states how teachers should stay current with research, and I believe this is so important because new ways of teaching are always being created.      Hi, my name is Casey Daigle and I am from Fort Pierce, FL. I am a sophomore at FSU and I absolutely love it. My major is English Education. I am in the sorority Alpha Phi and I like to participate in events such as Heart Week and Dance Marathon.
